Her Story

Her story starts way back...

Kandy has held various positions in a number of non-profit and charitable organizations including:  the Rouge Valley Hospital (Finance Committee), The United Way (Finance Committee), Duffins Creek Non-Profit Housing (Treasurer), Race Relations Board for Canada and on Ontario Liquor Control Board.

She is a strong believer is giving back to the community with a passion to serve others, and was awarded the Queen’s Jubilee Award for her service to the community.

Kandy has a unique business perspective with over 30 years of experience in banking, specializing  in international trade, finance and global payments. 

Kandy  is also an educator who has launched a math and reading program through a reputable franchise.  This platform serves students from different backgrounds within the multicultural community of Durham.

Kandy Samsunder is an entrepreneur and community leader who creates and champions innovative community programs for youth, seniors and people in need so that they can learn and thrive in their communities.

The purpose of her establishing CCCAD is: to promote inclusiveness, engage in economic and trade initiatives between Canada and other countries, assist newcomers in their transition to Canada, develop and foster schools and communities-based programs and offer humanitarian aid to countries in crisis.
